Such flight was stopped operating in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The longest flight will cover a whopping 16,700 kilometres and take almost 19 hours in the sky. The airline has initially decided to operate the flight three times a week before converting it into a daily service.<\/p>\n<p>The flight is due to depart at 2.35 am Friday, Australian time from Changi Airport in Singapore and will arrive in at Newark Liberty International Airport at 6am on Friday, New York time.<a href=\"http:\/\/s3apnlivemumbai.s3-website.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com\/apnlive\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Singapore.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" td-modal-image aligncenter wp-image-50529 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/s3apnlivemumbai.s3-website.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com\/apnlive\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Singapore.jpg\" alt=\"Singapore Airlines\" width=\"1064\" height=\"599\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Singapore Airlines is flying the new Airbus A350-900ULR on the route. This plane has no economy class seats. There are 94 premier economy class and 67 business class seats.<\/p>\n<p>Reports indicate that Singapore Airlines has been offering initial fares from as low as $1470 return for premium economy from Singapore to Newark.<\/p>\n<p>Singapore Airlines previously flew Airbus A340s on the route, but the four-engine aircraft, which Airbus no longer manufactures, were too heavy on fuel use to make the non-stop flight economically sustainable.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/s3apnlivemumbai.s3-website.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com\/apnlive\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Newark-airport.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" td-modal-image aligncenter wp-image-50524 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/s3apnlivemumbai.s3-website.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com\/apnlive\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Newark-airport.jpg\" alt=\"Newark airport\" width=\"1064\" height=\"631\" \/><\/a>Advances A350 aircraft can carry 165,000 litres of fuel with 161 passengers on board.<\/p>\n<p>The world&#8217;s top three longest flights include, Singapore-Newark (New York) 16,700km, Doha-Auckland, Qatar Airways, 14,529km and London-Perth, Qantas, 14,496km.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a major development in civil aviation industry, Singapore Airlines is re-launching world&#8217;s longest commercial non-stop flight between Singapore and New York on Friday morning.
