Sri Lanka fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka will not play in the third and final One-Day International against Bangladesh. Additionally, he is expected to miss the Mumbai Indians’ (MI) opening matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024.

On Friday, March 15, at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury in Chattogram, during the second match, the speedster suffered a hamstring injury on his left.

Against the Tigers, Madushanka claimed four wickets at a 5.04 economy rate during the series. He took Litton Das’ wicket in both matches; Das was pulled out of Bangladesh’s squad for the third One-Day International (ODIs), which is set for March 18. Following the confirmation of his injury via an MRI scan, the speedster will resume his recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sri Lanka Cricket Association issued a statement which said. after sustaining an injury during the second ODI, Dilshan Madushanka will return to begin recovery treatment and will not be participating in the current tour. An MRI study on Madushanka revealed that she had sustained a left hamstring injury. The cricketer exited the field during the second ODI while bowling, according to a statement from SLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
