Ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Jan Adhikar Party president Pappu Yadav joined the Congress Party on Wednesday at its Delhi headquarters. He has also merged his Jan Adhikar Party with the Congress Party.
At the AICC headquarters, he announced his decision with his son Sarthak Ranjan and other party leaders in attendence. Additionally present was Mohan Prakash, who oversees Congress relations in Bihar.
A well-known figure in the Seemanchal region, he is the husband of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Ranjeet Ranjan and a former five-time MP from Bihar.
Pappu claimed he already understood the Congress ideology before joining the grand old party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The now-Congress leader said he has witnessed Mohan Prakash Ji’s struggles since he was a young child, and he has been blessed to have Prakash ji in his entire life. Back then, he was a powerful voice; today, he represents an idea to him. We have always shared the same ideology as the Congress, he said.
In addition, the former MP complimented Rahul Gandhi on his yatras, stating that the Congress leader has awakened the consciousness of 130 crore people of India with the Bharat Jodo and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He contined saying, the respect he has earned and the confidence Congress has in him and his party will be sufficient for him to fight against dictatorship in the nation in order to preserve democracy and the Constitution. Rahul Gandhi has struggled the most in this world, especially at a time when digital media has taken over most of the hard work, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After Pappu made a call to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav last night, speculations of a realignment with the party that had fielded him from Madhepura in the 2014 Lok Sabhapolls began to circulate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pappu Yadav refuted rumors that his Jan Adhikar Party will join, claiming to have family relations with the head of the RJD and to share Lalu Prasad’s ideological stance against the BJP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
