After Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal\u2019s arrest on Thursday night in a liquor policy case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is likely to meet the family of AAP convenor to offer legal help. INDIA bloc leaders have also extended their support for the Kejriwal.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday, Gandhi spoke to Kejriwal’s family and assured them of his and the grand old party’s support following the arrest of the Delhi Chief Minister by ED, as per the reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last night, Kejriwal was interrogated by the ED at Delhi CM\u2019s residence in the 2021-2022 Delhi liquor policy case. During ED\u2019s search operation, Kejriwal was arrested amidst dramatic circumstances as the AAP chief failed to obtain interim protection from arrest in the Delhi policy case from the Delhi High Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kejriwal was taken to the agency\u2019s headquarter later and a team of medical staff also arrived at the ED office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Opposition has questioned the timing of Kejriwal\u2019s arrest and expressed their concern over the misuse of the central agencies to target the INDIA bloc leaders and Chief Ministers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gandhi, taking to X, said that a scared dictator wants to create a dead democracy. If capturing all the institutions including the media, breaking up parties, extorting money from companies, and freezing the accounts of the main opposition party was not enough for the \u2018Asuri Shakti\u2019 (demonic power) now the arrest of the elected Chief Ministers has also become a common thing, he asserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
