The BJP slammed Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal for issuing his second order from the Enforcement Directorate custody. The party claimed that Arvind Kejriwal does not want to leave the post because of his insecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BJP leader Harshvardhan asserted that Arvind Kejriwal\u2019s move to remain the Chief Minister of Delhi despite his arrest shows his greed. He added that Arvind Kejriwal should resign morally because he is greedy and does not want to leave his chair because of his insecurity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated that the Chief Minister can\u2019t issue any directions from the jail. He added that he has complained to the LG, demanding strict actions against the party. BJP leader Harish Khurana also said that Kejriwal was trying to play the victim card, adding that the Chief Minister is the kingpin of the liquor scam. He further recalled that Arvind Kejriwal used to say that people facing corruption charges should resign, but now he is not resigning and is passing orders from behind bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested last week in connection with the liquor policy case. Despite being in ED custody, the Chief Minister issued directions to ensure that medicines and tests are available at all government hospitals. Earlier on Sunday, Arvind Kejriwal issued his first executive order from jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reports stated that the Enforcement Directorate will look into the legality of such orders. Furthermore, the investigation agency will also ascertain if the orders are in line with the special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court’s order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The BJP has also launched a massive protest in Delhi demanding Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation. Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva said that the Chief Minister of Delhi is corrupt and dishonest and has looted the people of Delhi. He added that they are going to the Secretariat to demand Arvind Kejriwal\u2019s resignation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
