Earlier during the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the toss against Mumbai Indians. Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad gave a huge target for Mumbai Indians to chase in Hyderabad, as they scored 277 runs and lost only 3 wickets. Mumbai Indians had to score 278 runs to win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both the openers Ishan Kishan (34) and Rohit Sharma (26) gave a good start to the innings and the momentum was kept alive by Naman Dhir (30) and Tilak Varma (64). But after Tilak Varma the run rate of Mumbai Indians dropped with Romario Shephard (15) and Tim David (42) tried to give a late push to the innings. Mumbai Indians could reach only 246\/5 and lost the match by 31 runs.
