And this time Kollywood actor Vijay\u2019s \u2018Sarkar\u2019 is in news as the movie has entered Rs 100 crore club in just two days. Similar to some others, this movie has also gone through controversies \u2013 but then it is believed controversies lead to even better business.<\/p>\n<p>Vijay-AR Murugadoss\u2019s third collaboration\u00a0<em>Sarkar\u00a0<\/em>has\u00a0broken collection records:\u00a0this is his first movie to do so. Statewise, too,\u00a0<em>Sarkar<\/em>\u00a0broke records by reaching the spot that was previously dominated by SS Rajamouli\u2019s\u00a0<em>Baahubali &#8211; The Conclusion.<\/em>\u00a0<em>Sarkar<\/em>\u00a0made over 30 crores on its first day in the state while\u00a0<em>Baahubali 2\u00a0<\/em>had stood at 19 crores on day one.<\/p>\n<p>The film also collected Rs 2.41 crores in Chennai city on its first day of release, leaving behind Rajinikanth\u2019s<em>\u00a0Kaala<\/em>\u00a0that made Rs 1.76 crore. Rajinikanth&#8217;s previous release\u00a0<em>Kabali\u00a0<\/em>had made Rs 46.50 crores in the Indian box-office on Day 1, which includes Rs 21.50 crores from Tamil Nadu totally and Rs 1.12 crores from Chennai city.<\/p>\n<p>According to trade sources, this is the sixth 100-crore grosser for Vijay and fourth in a row after\u00a0<em>Theri, Bairavaa\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Mersal.<\/em>\u00a0The film revolves around one man\u2019s mission to fight for his voting rights after someone casts his vote illegally and he challenges the system in the process. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Radha Ravi, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar and Yogi Babu.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sarkar\u00a0<\/em>managed to do well even outside Tamil Nadu. In Kerala, it grossed over Rs. 6 crores on release day, registering a new all-time opening day record.
