[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Faridabad\u2019s Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Limited (TSPDL) senior manager was shot dead yesterday (Friday, November 9) allegedly by one of the former employee of the company.<\/p>\n
The accused, identified as Vishwash Pandey, who worked with TSPDL from 2015-18, was fired from his post as \u2018executive\u2019 in August 2018.<\/p>\n
According to the police, the victim, Arindam Pal, hails from Kolkata and was senior manager (supply chain) at the stockyard located in Faridabad\u2019s New Industrial Township (NIT) area. He lived in Sainik Colony with his wife and daughter.<\/p>\n
The accused, Vishwash Pandey, hails from Allahabad, and had been sacked on the basis of a report submitted by the victim, police said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe company had started an inquiry against Pandey and relieved him of his services four to five months ago, on grounds of indiscipline. The report of the inquiry, on the basis of which he was sacked, was submitted by the deceased,\u201d said Sube Singh, PRO of Faridabad police.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is suspected that Pandey held a grudge against him for this reason, and murdered him in revenge. Other employees who were on the premises during the incident have identified him, and the FIR in the case has been registered against him by name,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The incident took place on Friday around 1.10 pm, when the shift was being changed at the stockyard.\u00a0Police said the accused entered the premises through the main gate and went into Pal\u2019s cabin, where he allegedly opened fire and shot him \u201cfive times in the stomach\u201d before escaping through another gate at the yard.<\/p>\n
\u201cPal was rushed to Fortis Escorts Hospital in NIT, where he was declared dead\u2026 His wife, who had gone to Kolkata for Diwali with her daughter, has been informed about the incident, and is expected to reach Faridabad later tonight. The post-mortem will be conducted on Saturday,\u201d said Ashok Kumar, station house officer (SHO) of Mujesar police station.
