{"id":55762,"date":"2019-02-02T15:59:34","date_gmt":"2019-02-02T10:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/?p=55762"},"modified":"2019-02-02T16:25:40","modified_gmt":"2019-02-02T10:55:40","slug":"iit-student-dies-falling-hostel-terrace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/india-news\/iit-student-dies-falling-hostel-terrace\/","title":{"rendered":"IIT student dies after falling from hostel terrace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A 22-year-old student of IIT Hyderabad died on Friday (Feb 1) after falling from the seventh floor of the campus building, in which he was residing.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sangareddy rural police, the deceased was identified as M Anirudhya, a resident of Bowenpally in Secunderabad.<\/p>\n<p>Anirudhya, the deceased was a fourth year student pursuing mechanical and aerospace engineering from the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/topic\/iit\">Indian Institute of Technology<\/a>, Hyderabad.<\/p>\n<p>While talking to the Hindustan Times&#8217;, the sub-inspector of police, Sangareddy (rural) Srikanth said that the parents of the deceased hail from Guntur district in <a href=\"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/topic\/andhra-pradesh\">Andhra Pradesh<\/a> but used to reside at Bowenpally in Hyderabad. The deceased went to the terrace at 12.45 am to talk to a friend on the phone when he fell and died instantly.<\/p>\n<p>The sub-inspector stated that earlier they suspected that the deceased had committed suicide, but when they scanned the CCTV footage, they saw that Anirudhya had slipped and had fallen from the terrace.
