The fire broke out in the five-storey building near the Ernakulam South railway station.<\/p>\n<p>Fire and rescue team have reached the spot and are trying to bring the fire under control. Short circuit is suspected to be the reason behind the fire.<\/p>\n<p>The fire was first reported from the fourth floor of the building that has a showroom and godown.<\/p>\n<p>When the fire broke out there were 25 people working in the warehouse. All of them rushed out of the building. There are no reports of casualties so far.<\/p>\n<p>Residents from nearby buildings have been evacuated. Though the fire has not spread to the nearby buildings, but the rescue officials say there are chances that the fire might spread if not doused soon.<\/p>\n<p>The fire is very massive and the smoke being emitted into the sky can be seen from across in the city.<\/p>\n<p>The building acts as a godown of footwear brand &#8216;Paragon&#8217;.
