Mukesh was not happy about it. He took our daughter upstairs and locked the door,\u201d the woman stated in her complaint. \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I waited for them but when they didn\u2019t come back after an hour, I went upstairs. Mukesh had locked the door that leads to the terrace. I knocked multiple times but nobody answered. Babita, my niece, also came upstairs. He finally opened the door and I saw my child lying on the cot. I realized she wasn\u2019t crying or moving. When we asked Mukesh what happened, he said he was angry and that he first strangled her and then drowned her in a water tank,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dwarka DCP said, \u201cWe received a call from a woman about the incident. We reached the spot and found the infant lying unconscious on the terrace. She was rushed to the nearest hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival. A post-mortem was conducted and we found that the child was first strangled and then drowned.
