An FIR has been filed against JNUSU President, Aishe Ghosh, and others for causing hurt and criminally intimidating security officials. The FIR, filed under sections 323, 341, 506, 34 and Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984, claims that Ghosh along with others indulged in violence and physically hurt lady security guards besides threatening them on January 4.<\/p>\n
The first information report has been filed by the University security officials claiming that the students made the internet servers dysfunctional at the Communication and Information (CIS) premises on Sunday.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt around 1 pm as per the security report students agitators again entered the CIS office from the back door by breaking open the glass door\u201d, the FIR reads.<\/p>\n
The FIR has also named JNUSU Vice President Saket Moon, General Secretary Satish Yadav, SFI activist G Suresh, former JNUSU President Geeta Kumari among others.<\/p>\n
The first information report was filed at 8.43 pm on Sunday, around the time when JNU students and teachers were being thrashed by masked miscreants who were armed with sticks and hammers.<\/p>\n
The JNUSU has denied all allegations, claiming the university security guards actually assaulted them.<\/p>\n
\u201cJNUSU President was openly slapped by a security guard\u201d, said a member of the union.<\/p>\n
More than 30 students and teachers were hurt in the brutal attack on Sunday evening. A bleeding Aishe Ghosh alleged that “ABVP goons assaulted them”.<\/p>\n
Another FIR was filed by JNU admin against students on Saturday regarding violence outside the School of Biotechnology, but it doesn\u2019t name Ghosh.<\/p>\n
A third FIR filed on Sunday in connection with Sunday’s violence doesn\u2019t name anyone. It mentions 30-40 unidentified armed people.<\/p>\n
The JNU admin has claimed that the students were trying to disrupt the registration process and forcibly stopping students to register for the semester.
