{"id":79171,"date":"2020-01-26T12:50:41","date_gmt":"2020-01-26T07:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/?p=79171"},"modified":"2020-09-23T12:09:10","modified_gmt":"2020-09-23T06:39:10","slug":"amid-security-on-republic-day-five-blasts-rock-assam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apnlive.com\/india-news\/amid-security-on-republic-day-five-blasts-rock-assam\/","title":{"rendered":"Amid security on Republic Day, five blasts rock Assam; CM Sonowal condemns &#8216;act of cowardice&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amid tight security on the occasion of Republic Day, five blasts rocked Assam and is suspected to be carried out by United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) but nothing has been established as yet.<\/p>\n<p>However, there was no casualty in the blasts.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report by NorthEast Now, two low intensity explosions were reported in Dibrugarh while similar bomb blasts took place in Duliajan, Doomdooma and Sonari.<\/p>\n<p>In one of the incidents, the assailants had reportedly come in a two-wheeler and lobbed a bomb before leaving the spot.<\/p>\n<p>Security forces have reached the blast spots and started the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe blasts in Dibrugarh were of low intensity which took place this morning in two places. Our team has reached the spot and started the investigation. Right now we cannot ascertain anything,\u201d said a police source.<\/p>\n<p>Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal condemned the blasts by saying, &#8220;The cowardly attempt to create terror on a sacred day only exhibits the frustration of the terror groups.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Strongly condemn the bomb blasts in a few places of Assam.
