The 64-year-old patient with COVID-19 infection passed away in Mumbai, news agency <em>ANI<\/em> reported. The patient was admitted to Kasturba hospital in Mumbai.<\/p>\n<p>Maharashtra has reported a total of 39 COVID-19 cases, highest in the country after Kerala. At present, there are 125 cases of coronavirus in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The first death from&nbsp;coronavirus infection was reported in Karnataka. The second patient was a 68-year-old woman in Delhi who died at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital last week.<\/p>\n<p>Worldwide, over 7,000 people have died, more than one lakh has been infected in 143 countries. &nbsp;The WHO last week declared Europe as the epicentre of the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, nearly 14,000 people were infected with the novel coronavirus globally &#8212; the highest in a single day &#8212; bringing the total number of confirmed cases above 167,500, WHO confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Due to growing concern over novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Delhi government has announced a new set of bans to limit the spread of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>The novel coronavirus has led to the cancellation and rescheduling of numerous sporting events as well as athletes withdrawing from notable tournaments over the past few weeks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A third person died in India due to the novel coronavirus\u00a0as the number of positive cases continues to rise in the country.
