Sources said, there has been no recent contact between <strong>PM Modi<\/strong> and<strong> President Trump<\/strong>. The last conversation between them was on April 4, 2020, on the subject of hydroxychloroquine.<\/p>\n<p>US President Trump, while speaking with the reporters in the Oval Office of the White House on Thursday, said a \u201cbig conflict\u201d was going on between India and China. Referring to Modi, President Trump said, I like your prime minister a lot. He is a great gentleman.<\/p>\n<p>On being asked if he was worried about the border situation between India and China, Trump said, Have a big conflict \u2026India and China. Two countries with 1.4 billion people each. Two countries with very powerful militaries. India is not happy and probably China is not happy. I can tell you; I did speak to Prime Minister Modi. He is not in a good mood about what is going on with China,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, the president offered to mediate between India and China. Trump on Wednesday said in a tweet that he was \u201cready, willing and able to mediate\u201d between the two countries. However, an Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson said that we are engaged with the Chinese side to peacefully resolve it.\u00a0 China has also rejected Trump&#8217;s offer to mediate.
