He said the party&#8217;s core committee will meet soon and decide if the SAD should stay in the NDA fold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SAD is one of the founding members of the NDA. Speaking to reporters, Sukhbir Badal said his party is ready to make any sacrifice for farmers and their welfare. On the floor of the Lok Sabha, he said the party will always keep farmers&#8217; benefits as the top priority and will reconsider ties with the BJP now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Standing by their commitment to farmers, Mrs <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HarsimratBadal_?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HarsimratBadal_<\/a> resigned from the cabinet while S. Sukhbir S. Badal strongly opposed the agri ordinances in Parliament. Reports said the SAD had initially supported the bills but changed tack on seeing the farmers&#8217; opposition to it. The Lok Sabha passed the Farmers\u2019 Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020. Another bill related to the farm sector, the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, was passed on Tuesday.
