The ban will be in place till further order comes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DPCC the decision came after the capital\u2019s air quality dropped to very poor on Tuesday for the first time this season. The government monitoring agency, System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), said the air quality index was not likely to improve for the next two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The committee said it will be taking strict measures to deal with increasing air pollution in the city. It has asked the authorities to sprinkle water on the roads and take all possible steps possible to prevent dust pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DPCC said long-term measures should be taken for disposal of garbage so that incidents of garbage burning can be curbed. These teams will visit Delhi and NCR cities, including Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut in Uttar Pradesh; Gurugram, Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Jhajjar, Panipat, Sonepat in Haryana; and Bhiwadi, Alwar, Bharatpur in Rajasthan. These teams will be particularly monitoring these areas to understand where the pollution comes from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air pollution in Delhi and NCR normally gets worse in the months from October to February. On Wednesday, Delhi recorded an air quality index (AQI) of 282 at 5 pm.
