Avery special patient, the world\u2019s heaviest woman, is admitted there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Weighing 500 kg, Eman Ahmed of Egypt has arrived in the city for weight loss surgeries. A team of 15 doctors led by Dr Mufaddal Lakdawala will deliver the treatment to her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Eman, 37, has been unable to move from her bed for the last 25 years. Shaimaa Ahmed, sister of the patient, has been caring for her. It was she who called Saifee Hospital and initiated the procedure for treatment. Eman not only has obesity but has also been suffering from other ailments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The responsibility of transporting the heaviest women from Egypt was taken by the chief executive officer of Saifee Hospital. He got clearances from the Egyptian and Indian governments. It was a difficult task loading and unloading the patient. She was brought in by a special plane. The surgeries at Saifee Hospital would be the first phase of her weight loss treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Sushma Swaraj, minister for external affairs, has taken special interest in getting Eman transported safely and making available to her the best medical care. During the course of preparing for the treatment, Dr Lakdawala sought help on certain issues through tweets from the minister. She responded immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">According to sources in Saifee Hospital, Eman will go through preliminary tests prior to surgical intervention in the first few weeks. She has expressed desire to see the films of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
