Kriti Sanon all set to play Sita in Prabhas-Saif Ali Khan starrer Adipurush, shoot to begin in January
Kriti Sanon has bagged a role in upcoming film Adipurush alongside Prabhas. Ever since the announcement of 3D action-drama Adipurush, fans have been awaiting the name of the actress who will be seen romancing the Bahubali actor. Now, Sanon’s name has been confirmed to play the role of Sita in the magnum opus.
A report in Mumbai Mirror said after considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, the film makers decided on Kriti. She will play the character with grace and dignity. Playing Sita is an opportunity of a lifetime for her, and she immediately came on board. She will be juggling multiple films in the first quarter of 2021. Reports suggest the shooting for the film will reportedly begin from January 2021.
A source related to the film said it will mostly be shot in the studio against a chroma screen. Om and Bhushan have been talking to VFX technicians of international repute, who have worked on films like Avatar and Star Wars, to make the shooting process smooth and mount the film on a certain scale.
Helmed by Om Raut, Adipurush is a period drama set 7,000 years ago. In the film, Prabhas will be playing the role of Lord Ram while Saif will be playing antagonist Ravan which also marks his second collaboration with director Om Raut after Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Talking about the film, Saif Ali Khan said he is thrilled to be working with Om Raut again. He has a grand vision and the technical knowledge to pull it off. He’s thrilled to be a part of this project and looks forward to clashing swords with the mighty Prabhas and to play a role that is electrifying and demonic, he added.
Meanwhile Kriti Sanon’s lined up projects include Mimi and Akshay Kumar-starrer Bachchan Pandey. She was last seen in Ashutosh Gowariker directorial Panipat.

According to reports, the actor slipped while he was working in the kitchen and got injured. He was taken to hospital where he lost his life.
The 67-year-old actor is survived by his wife Suzanne Bernert, also an actor. The incident took place in Hyderabad, Telangana where he was shooting for an upcoming project.
Actor Manoj Bajpayee had extended his condolence on the death of veteran actor Akhil Mishra. He said the incident was unbelievably shocking.
Akhil was married to a German actor Suzanne Bernert in February 2009. Later in 2011, they got married as per the traditional rituals.
Akhil has worked in several movies like Gandhi, My Father, Don, Shikhar, Kamla Ki Maut, and Well Done Abba. He got his popularity as a librarian Dubey in 3 Idiots movie, starring Amir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani, and Omi Vaidya among others.
The veteran actor was also seen in famous TV shows like CID, Udaan, Hatim and Uttaran among others.
Suzanne Bernert has also worked in several Television shows such as Porus, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Savdhaan India, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat.
Earlier, Akhil Mishra and his wife Suzanne worked together in the movie Kram. They have worked in TV Shows together like Dewaana, a Doordarshan serial.
They worked in a short film named Manju Ki Juliet as well in 2019.
His last rites were held on September 21 at 3:30 pm at Indralok near Golden Nest. Suzanne had made all the arrangements and preparations for the cremation. She said that her heart was broken and her second half had gone forever.
