Pakistani actor Ushna Shah wedding

Pakistani actor Ushna Shah recently tied the knot with golfer Hamza Amin in a private ceremony, but she was trolled for her wedding outfit.

The photos and videos of the newlyweds are doing rounds on social media. Ushna opted for a beautiful red bridal lehenga, while Amin chose to wear an ivory sherwani. However, the Teri Meri Love Story actor became the target of trolls for dressing up like an Indian bride. Not only this, but she was also trolling for dancing at her wedding festivities.

People took to Twitter and said that the couple is fooling people by promoting Indian culture in the name of Pakistani culture. One of the users tweeted, We shouldn’t tolerate it as it spoils our [Pakistani] own culture, traditional values and religious values as well.

Hitting back at trolls, Ushna Shah wrote, Mrs Amin (referencing her husband’s name), to those who have a problem with my dress: you weren’t invited, nor did you pay for my shade of red. My jewellery, my jora (wedding outfit): purely Pakistani. My heart, however, half-Austrian (hinting at her husband). Allah humein khush rakhey aameen (May God keep us happy).

She even lashed out at a blogger who brought an uninvited photographer to the wedding despite stating that the event was meant for close friends and family. She questioned the privacy of the bride as the photographer brought a drone that kept hovering loudly next to her head while she was signing.

Shah said she feels disgusted and violated. AB Lakhany, of Moovyshoovy, was invited out of obligation as she has known him for years and he happened to be at the office where the invitations were being designed His invite said strictly no plus one, she added.

Shah went on to say that the blogger was then sent a memo along with other guests to not record personal moments, especially the nikah. Not only did he bring a plus one, but he also brought a photographer without permission [and] lied to her family that she had allowed this. That photographer then sent exclusive unapproved photos to various [media] portals, she continued.

She further wrote, Beigaani shaadi mein jo inunived photographers ghuss gaye, unko salaam (my greetings to the uninvited photographers who came for our wedding).

Jaane Jaan social media review: Kareena Kapoor OTT debut is a mix of Drishyam and Kahaani

Sujoy Gosh relied too heavily on the strength of his actors, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vijay Varma, and let them carry the entire movie on their shoulders without much concern for the plot.

Jaane Jaan

It is challenging to surpass the standard that Sujoy Ghosh set for himself with the Vidya Balan-starring film Kahaani. And it’s clear in the majority of his later ventures where he took on the director’s role. With Jaane Jaan, the trailer foretold great things and made things appear to be quite exciting, but the movie only just manages to live up to the anticipation or even approach the intrigue level it set out to produce.

Jaideep Ahlawat’s first dream in Jaane Jaan is unmistakably grim. On the top left of the screen, there is a brief warning that appears as soon as the movie starts, warning you that it contains references to drug use, suicide, and domestic violence.

This warning, together with the nightmare of Jaideep’s character, quickly paints a clear image of what you are getting into. This is a Sujoy Ghosh film, after all.

Halfway through Jaane Jaan, everyone was convinced that even the director knew this wasn’t one of his best pieces. However, it’s possible that he relied too heavily on the strength of his actors, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vijay Varma, and let them carry the entire movie on their shoulders without much concern for the plot.

And these three give flawless performances, which are what keep Jaane Jaan from drowning. They give moviegoers with a rewarding experience when taken as a whole. Jaane Jaan would have been a fantastic viewing if I had to limit my attention to just watching them perform. However, the movie has a number of flaws that are difficult to overlook.

While people have few complaints about Ghosh’s commitment to his work as a director, Jaane Jaan clearly needs more pace, complexity, and nuance to hit you hard, which it never does, with the possible exception of one sequence concerning physical abuse.

Kareena Kapoor starrer Jaane Jaan is based on the best-selling Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino. An acclaimed book that has been translated into numerous languages and turned into films in South Korea, China, Japan, and even Tamil (‘Kolaigaran’).
