Earth Day 2022: Easy essay and speech ideas for students to grab top position in competition

Every year on April 22nd, World Earth Day is observed to raise awareness about environmental protection and to address the global climate problem. With each passing year, the climate worsens, and it is our responsibility to assist in the conservation and preservation of Mother Nature. The theme for Earth Day 2022 is Invest in Our Planet.

On World Earth Day, here are easy essay and speech ideas for children to help them win the competition.

1. Earth Day is celebrated all over the world on the 22nd of April every year. This day was established for awareness of the environment and its safety. Earth Day was founded in 1970 by a person in America. That name was Senator Gaylord Nelson? Nelson, first told the people how much damage that happenned to the environment is due to industrial development.

For this, Nelson mobilized American society, protested, and did several mass movements. As a result of this movement, the government had to listen to the demands of these agitators. And by looking at the many environmental-friendly decisions taken by the government. And this issue was kept in the United Nations to discuss this issue globally. More than 192 countries supported this issue in the United Nations

And everyone encouraged environmental protection in their respective countries. Environmental protection is a very important topic. All the natural things present on earth like wind, water, trees, plants, and all of this together make our environment. All these things together with each other balance the environment. It is our duty to protect our environment. Nature has given us air, water, trees, plants, rivers, mountains, and minerals present below the earth for our help.

We can earn money through our hard work, but neither we can make natural things nor increase it. All these things given by nature are limited. So on Earth Day people are made aware of the environment. On this day people are cleaning their houses around and by the side of the road. Many people planted the plant on this day.

2. In our entire solar system, Earth is the only planet that sustains life. Earth Day is celebrated to protect the Earth from all man-made harm. Earth Day is celebrated worldwide on the 22nd of April every year. The idea of celebrating Earth Day was suggested by John McConnell (peace activist) at the UNESCO conference in the year 1969. Later the international Earth Day was declared on 22nd April 1970. Various countries take oaths in protecting the environment and working towards a sustainable future on this day. On 2016 Earth Day, the famous Paris Agreement was signed among countries like the United Kingdom, United States, China and other 120 countries. Events like the 1969 Santa Barbara oil spill and many other events that end up polluting the environment were the main reasons behind promoting the idea of Earth Day to save our planet from getting destroyed.

Protecting Mother Earth should be our foremost duty. If we don’t protect our planet, then after some years, all the resources that we get from Earth will be exhausted. So while we still have time, we must take proper and effective measures to make sure that our future generations can too use these resources.
