Recently, Deepika Padukone received recognition for her cameo in the Shah Rukh Khan film Jawan. The actor is currently working intensely hard on Rohit Shetty’s cop universe Singham Again. Just a few weeks before, the filmmaker had said that the shooting of the movie had begun. The eagerly awaited first glimpse of Deepika in the film, in which she plays the tough police officer Shakti Shetty, has finally surfaced.

The cop drama’s co-star, Ranveer Singh, who is also expected to appear with Deepika, has expressed his thoughts on the poster.

Ranveer Singh said, Aag laga degi, as Deepika Padukone gives her first look of her from the film. He filled the caption with a tonne of fire emojis. Additionally, actor Janhvi Kapoor posted several emoticons, including fire and an exploding head. Additionally, Alia Bhatt used a lot of fire emojis.

A bloodied Deepika shot a man in the mouth with a handgun while grabbing his hair with another hand. A flaming building stood in the background, and they could see a lot of bodies and car wrecks all around them. Another picture showed Deepika laughing while holding the pistol up to her face.

Additionally, Ranveer posted Deepika’s posters to Instagram with the caption, Aali re aali. Woman Singham aali! Shakti Shetty has arrived in the Cop-verse, and added fireii emoji.

According to a report,earlier in August, Deepika Padukone is expected to play a significant role in the movie. Deepika Padukone is all excited for Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, a source said. She has already begun preparing for this exciting role, in which she will portray the first female police officer in the Rohit Shetty Universe. In the movie, Deepika plays a role who resembles a Lady Singham and has an arc where she is Ajay Devgn’s sister.

Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who appeared in several Hindi films and was particularly remembered for his role in the 2007 comedy Welcome, has died at the age of 56.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.

The actor’s death was reported on September 24, 2026. Reports said Khan had been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with liver cancer and had been hospitalised for around 15 days. Further details surrounding his death were awaited in the initial reports.

The newborn is the couple’s second daughter. Deepika and Ranveer became parents for the first time in September 2024, when they welcomed their daughter Dua.
