Instagram influencer Rohit Bhati, who was popularly known as Rowdy Vardaat, died in a car accident on Monday in Greater Noida. The 25-year-old social media influencer was known for his hilarious Haryanvi reels. He belonged to the Gurjar community.

His Instagram handle has 938K followers and most of his reels have over 1 million views and some have even crossed 5 million views. He was not only popular on Instagram but also on other social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.

According to Anil Kumar, in charge of the local Beta 2 police station, the speeding car failed to negotiate a turn and hit a tree. He said, Bhati, who was behind the steering wheel, died on the spot while his friends Manoj and Atish (both around 25 years old) were injured.

Bhati’s fans are pouring tribute to the social media influencer. One of his fans commented You will always be missed, Rest in Peace bro. Another commented Bhai tumne hamare dilon par raj kiya or karte rahoge miss you bhai.

The reports state both Manoj and Atish were rushed to the hospital. One of them is undergoing treatment at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Greater Noida while the other has been referred to Delhi in view of the serious condition.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.

Mushtaq Khan dies at 56

The actor’s death was reported on September 24, 2026. Reports said Khan had been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with liver cancer and had been hospitalised for around 15 days. Further details surrounding his death were awaited in the initial reports.
