The race for playoffs is getting interesting by the day with three spots up for grabs and six teams in contention for it. Kolkata Knight Riders will clash with Rajasthan Royals in a must-win game on Saturday. The losing side will be out of the tournament, while the winner will have to still depend on the net run rate of other teams for securing a berth in the playoffs.
Royals will be high on confidence after registering back-to-back wins over Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab. Apart from winning today’s match against KKR, the team will also have to hope for a Kings Xi Punjab’s defeat in their last game. There chances will also depend upon Sun Risers’ performance in their last two games who can foil Royals’ chances by winning both.
Kolkata Knight Riders, who changed their captain but failed to change their fortunes do not have an easy task ahead of them either despite being in contention for a playoff spot. They lost their last match against CSK and have a poor NRR complicating the things for them.
