They were received at the airport by family and well-wishers.
Family members of the sajjadanasheen have expressed gratitude to the Government of India for taking up the issue of their mysterious disappearance in Pakistan. “Both are fine. We are thankful to the government for all the support in securing their return,” Amir Nizami, son of Asif Nizami, said.
Ibrahim Nizami, grandson of the 80-year-old head priest, said that special prayers will be offered today at Dargah Hazrat Nizamuddin to “thank the Almighty Allah” for their safe return.
Earlier, Pakistani media had said that the two clerics were in the custody of Pakistan’s intelligence agency over their alleged links with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement led by Altaf Hussain. However, Pakistani sources, on March 19 evening, were quoted saying that both the Indian clerics had been in “interior Sindh” where there was no communication network.’[/vc_column_text][vc_raw_html]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[/vc_raw_html][vc_column_text]Minister for external affairs Sushma Swaraj, who was closely monitoring the situation, tweeted on March 19that she spoke to one of the clerics who assured they were safe and would be back to Delhi on March 20.
