In the letter to Singh, Bharti said she is deeply hurt by her own words and that she will improver her language from now on. She also urged Singh to improve his language if he can.

In the video, Uma Bharti had said bureaucracy is nothing. Bureaucracy is there to pick up chappals (slippers). It picks up our slippers. We only allow that.

As a video containing Uma Bharti’s critical comments against the bureaucracy surfaced on social media on Monday, Singh had criticised her for telling him to speak less, while she herself used highly objectionable words against bureaucrats. He had also sought an apology from her over her comments.

I used to tell you (Digvijaya Singh) repeatedly that you don’t use moderate language… I will improve my language from now on, if you can do the same, then do it, Uma Bharti wrote in the letter.

She also quoted a Ramayan verse in the letter.

Digvijay Singh tweeted on the controversial statement of Uma Bharti and wrote: Bureaucracies in the Indian Constitution are committed to act impartially under the rules and regulations. They are not your servants, they are not the people who lift the slippers. You have been a Union Minister, you have been the Chief Minister, you should not make such remarks. You must apologise.

After a video containing Uma Bharti’s critical comments against bureaucracy surfaced on social media, the former Union Minister had on Monday expressed regret over her intemperate language used during an interaction with a delegation of representatives from other backward classes (OBCs) at her home in Bhopal.

The Mumbai Crime Brand made its fifth arrest in relation to gunfire at the Bandra home of Bollywood celebrity Salman Khan, on Tuesday. Mohammed Chaudhary, the fifth accused in the case, was taken into custody by Rajasthan police.

The inquiry indicates that on Sunday, April 14, at Galaxy Apartments, Muhammad Chaudhary assisted the two gunmen who have since been detained in carrying out the shooting event. It is said that Chaudhary gave the two shooters money and assisted them in scouting the crime scene.

Chaudhary is being brought to Mumbai today where he will be produced in the court and a demand for custody will be made, the Mumbai Crime Branch said in a statement.

Chaudhary’s arrest coincides with the continuing investigation into the shooting incident that shook Mumbai’s Bandra neighborhood. This arrest adds a new dimension to the intricate network of people connected to the attack on Salman Khan’s home.

On April 14, two attackers riding a bike opened fire outside Salman Khan’s residence, the Galaxy Apartments. Before leaving the area, the two also fired rounds in the direction of Khan’s flat. After the two gunmen were captured by the police, their ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang came to light.

However, the case took a dark turn when Anuj Thapan, one of the gun suppliers, passed away. On May 1, Thapan was found dead in his cell, perhaps from a suicide. According to Mumbai Police, Thapan tried suicide while in custody and was declared dead after being taken to the hospital.

An important development in the inquiry was revealed by Anuj Thapan’s arrest on April 26, which illuminated the network that supplied the attack’s perpetrators with firearms.

However, the Thapan’s family has moved the Bombay High Court seeking a CBI probe into his death.
