  1. Direction and positioning of the bed

The exact position of the bed in the master bedroom should be in the South or South-West, but never in the middle, as this might lead to relationship difficulties and hence adverse experiences. According to Vastu, having a master bedroom in the house’s South-West direction balances the male power centre and encourages positive energies and chemistry between the two partners. It’s crucial to remember that the feet should not be towards the entrance or the room’s door.

  1. Shape and design of the bed

Metal beds should be avoided since they might cause sleep disturbances and partner conflicts. There should be one single or queen size bed with a single mattress. Two beds or mattresses that are connected together should be avoided at all costs, as this might lead to a rift between the couple. In addition, the bed should not be positioned between two doors or directly in front of a door.

Decoration and colour of the bedroom walls

In your bedroom, you should avoid having deity idols, photos of departed souls, or images of wild animals. It is highly advised to hang family photos in the south-west and a couple of photos in the west. Your room’s walls should only be painted in your favourite colour.

The red colour increases vitality, sweetens the couple’s relationship, and strengthens their love. However, excessive use of the red colour is said to cause complications when a couple plans to conceive, and it may result in quarrels or disputes between the pair. It is essential to choose positive wallpapers and frames on the walls of your bedroom because the first thing you see when you wake up and the last thing you see before you go to bed are photos on your wall. 

Decoration of the bedroom

Make sure there are no “single identity” decorative things in the room, such as a single rabbit or a lone duck, if you want to keep your love life going strong, it’s best to keep them in pairs, as this symbolizes love. For example,  a pair of doves, love birds, or ideal couples such as Laxmi and Narayan are preferable. You should also avoid hanging photographs of the Taj Mahal. Also, avoid keeping a cactus or any other thorny plants inside your bedroom.

Positioning of the mirror

The positioning of mirrors in a bedroom is crucial. Mirrors facing the bed should be avoided as much as possible. It causes marital issues. The bigger the mirror, the more likely the marriage will be strained. This can result in health issues, a lack of energy, or tiredness. As a result, in the bedroom, mirrors should be avoided or at the least covered.

Important Tips

Sea salt helps in the removal of negative energy from the atmosphere. As a result, mopping your floor with sea salt and water once a week is advisable.

Creating a mess in your room always brings negativity. It is essential to organise things neatly in order to bring positivity to your room and your home in general.

Make sure the room’s northeast corner isn’t cluttered in any way. Indoor plants, such as white flowers in the north and purple or red roses in the southwest, can help in building stronger relationships.
