BJP president Dilip Ghosh

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]During a public meeting in Jalpaiguri on Tuesday, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) controversy child Dilip Ghosh, who is also party’s president said that if BJP workers are threatened by Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers, his party will retaliate with violence and bullets.

“Those who are attacking our party supporters will be imprisoned or receive bullets. We are counting every bullet which killed our workers,” Ghosh said. The party chief said that the BJP had not signed a bond to be tolerant towards the Trinamool and that they would retaliate with bullets towards anyone who bothers them.

In his speech, which was laden with an aggressive word, Ghosh suggested using “encounter” as a method to counter any act of violence against the BJP workers. However, this is not the first time Dilip Ghosh has made headlines for his remarks.

In April 2018, an FIR was lodged against Dilip Ghosh for making statements against children of Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers. He had allegedly said children of Trinamool workers will become orphans in this rural poll. Ghosh had rejected the accusations though.

In May 2018, during Panchayat polls, Ghosh made inflammatory remarks stating that BJP party workers would counter any attempt of “TMC backed goons” to unleash violence against them with equal measure.

And on 1 June 2018, Ghosh had allegedly said that police were working for West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and they, if needed, would remove uniforms of police officers after the 2019 general elections. He had recently also accused the ruling TMC of trying to wipe out every sign of opposition from the state.

“The TMC is trying to wipe out every sign of opposition from West Bengal. That is why our workers are being killed every day. But we will continue our democratic fight till we end the misrule of the TMC government,” says Gosh, news agency PTI reported.

West Bengal has seen tensions between the parties turning violent in the past couple of year with the situation escalating during the recently held panchayat elections which claimed 14 lives according to the state government.

The recent hanging of a BJP worker allegedly for working for the saffron party has once again aggravated enmity between the TMC and the BJP. Ghosh had also made instigating statements after two BJP workers were found dead under mysterious circumstances in West Bengal last month

“Police is working for the ruling party. I warn them to stay cautioned. Nobody knows what will happen to Didi in three years (2021 Assembly election)… whether she will be in Nabanna (state secretariat) or she would be cooking in Kalighat (her residence). We can remove their uniforms if needed,” he had said, The New Indian Express reported.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a veiled dig at Rahul Gandhi on Thursday. He was addressing an election rally in Gujarat’s Anand where PM Modi said, Congress is dying here and Pakistanis are crying. He further added that Pakistani leaders want to make shehzada of Congress the prime minister of India.

He said everyone should look at the coincidence that today the Congress is getting weak in India and Pakistani leaders at the same time are praying for the grand old party. PM Modi said Pakistan is eager to make the prince the Prime Minister and everyone knows that the Congress is a fan of Pakistan. The prime minister further added that the partnership between Pakistan and Congress has now been completely exposed.

A few days earlier Pakistani leader Chaudhary Fawad Hussain had shared a video on X which featured Rahul Gandhi, in which the Congress leader is seen targetting the BJP and PM Modi. In the video shared by the former Pakistan minister, rahul Gandhi can be seen attacking the BJP government over the invitees at Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

The edited video shows Rahul Gandhi speaking about the Ram Mandir’s inauguration and charging the BJP government of sidelining the interests of the poor and youth.  PM Modi further added at the Anand rally that Congress Shahzade is dancing around with the Constitution on their foreheads. But for 75 years, this did not apply to all parts of Hindustan. The Constitution was not applicable in Kashmir, where Article 370 was like a wall that the BJP government had demolished.

The Prime Minister said it is his guarantee that he will work 24×7 to make India a developed country by 2047. He pointed out that in the last 10 years, the BJP government has given tap water connections to 14 crore houses, while the Congress gave just 3 crore houses in 60 years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier sparked a controversy last month as he commented that the Congress would take away the hard-earned money of the masses and distribute them among infiltrators and those with many children.  Speaking at a rally today, the Prime Minister took a jibe at the Congress and said the governments in the past were not able to implement the Indian Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir.
