The King of Romance, Shah Rukh Khan is making sure that love never dies. In order to countdown to the launch of his next film Jawan, the actor who plays the lead in it conducted a #AskSRK session on Sunday. He responded to a fan’s request who demanded to lend him free ticket, while also answering questions about his role in the film and the cities he has travelled to promote the film.

Taking to x, formerly known as Twitter, a fan posted during his AskSRK session, Can you offer a free ticket of #Jawaan for my gf? He also addressed himself jobless boyfriend as he wrote, I am nikkama bf.

Shah Rukh Khan who never fails to win fan’s hearts with his witty reply, this time also went hilarious. Although he claimed to love giving things away, he refused to give out tickets. Instead, he advised the fan to show some love and buy a ticket for his partner. Free mein pyaar deta hoon bhai….ticket ke toh paise hi lagenge, which translates, I give love for free, brother, you will have to pay for the ticket. SRK continued, don’t be cheap in romance go and buy the ticket and further he also advised the man to take his girlfriend with him.

Another fan asked during that session, how do you manage to remain so composed, modest, and kind towards people in the face of all this? To which the actor replied with utmost dignity and said, People can be so nasty, rude, and hateful at times. People are people, and everyone has their own opinions, but one must maintain one’s own beliefs and positivity.

Jawan is directed by Atlee and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan is the producer and Gaurav Verma is the co-producer for the film.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Discussing the film’s response, Shabana Azmi questioned whether audiences were able to accept Sunny Deol in a Muslim role.

She compared the situation with Amitabh Bachchan’s earlier performances in which he portrayed Muslim characters. Azmi pointed to Deewaar, where Bachchan’s character is associated with the number 786, and said such portrayals had been accepted by audiences.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.

Azmi said she was surprised by the contrast between the appreciation she had heard from people who watched the film and its weak theatrical performance.

According to her, viewers who discussed the film with her had praised its message of humanity, but that appreciation did not translate into enough people going to theatres.
