Trader stops for tea on highway, loses Rs 1 crore cash stashed in car’s boot
Umesh and his friend GE Malikarjun own Sri Marulasiddheshwara Traders in Chitradurga. They purchased arecanuts from farmers to sell them in other states. Umesh had hired a sedan (registration number KA-16-N-8522). The car is owned by Swamy PB of Talya village in Holakere Taluk. He had put the cash bag in the car boot.
