Alia Bhatt shares her daughter Raha’s nicknames, discusses how she handles anxiety

Alia Bhatt today hosted a Sunday Funday – Ask me Anything session, where she dedicated her morning to sharing diverse facets of her life and providing insights into her daughter Raha. She was also candid about her battles with anxiety as well.

Indulging in a fun questions and answers session, Alia Bhatt encouraged fans to ask questions and answered with a blend of humour and honest. During the session a question poped-up, in which a fan asked what Alia Bhatt gave nickname to her daughter Raha Kapoor, to which she responded, Rahu, Rara, and Lollipop (to name a few) she said.

Speaking of the inherent worry associated with separation, another query came up about how she felt about being apart from her child. Being honest, Alia said, It’s never easy leaving her.

The Raazi actor futher added, it might take some time for that to alter, though. However she feels less bad about her being with family even when she is not there.

Alia also talked candidly about her experience with anxiety. She said, everyone experiences specific situations or events that can cause anxiety. For her this was a long-term realisation that any sudden change or uncontrollable situation could make her very worked up. The actor also reveled how she avoids these moments. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actor said she simply tries to be aware of it and, if it becomes too much, she allows herself to check out and feel how she is feeling.

She continued, there are moments when trying to control emotions causes more harm than good, so she adviced to talk to a trustworthy person as she thinks its beneficial.

Another fan also came up with a very interesting question, in which he asked what advice she would give to her younger self. Alia replied humorously and said, listen more. Speak less.

Meanwhile, the National Award-winning actor is now in the filming phase of her next project, Jigra. In addition to starring as the main lead, Alia and Karan Johar are co-producers of the movie. Additionally, there are rumours that she is working on Baiju Bawra with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Director Kabir Khan said in a social media post to praise actor Kartik Aaryan’s dedication for his upcoming film Chandu Champion. Khan revealed Aaryan’s impressive physical transformation, showcasing the actor’s commitment to portraying a real-life athlete.

In his post, Khan highlighted the film’s inspirational true story, but went on to emphasize Aaryan’s own journey as equally inspiring. Khan shared that when he first approached the Satyaprem Ki Katha actor for the role, the actor had a significantly higher body fat percentage due to a previous role. Khan’s post further detailed the Pyaar Ka Panchnama actor incredible transformation. Over the course of the course of a year and a half, the actor shed a significant amount of weight, reducing his body fat percentage from 39% to a remarkable 7%. Notably, the Chak De India director emphasized that this feat was achieved entirely naturally, without the use of steroids—a point Kartik Aaryan himself was particularly adamant about.

The social media post was accompanied by a photo showcasing Aaryan’s great physique, a stark contrast to his previous appearance. Khan concluded by expressing his pride in Aaryan’s dedication and hard work.

Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency postponed due to Lok Sabha elections

Ranaut is contesting from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency, and has filed her nomination on May 14.

Actor turned producer Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency has been postponed due to the Lok Sabha Elections. The film directed by the actor herself was scheduled to release on June 14. 

Taking to Instagram, Kangana Ranaut’s production house Manikarnika Films, announced that the release date of Emergency has been postponed as the actor-director-producer wants to priortise her duty to the nation and commitment to the country. Ranaut is contesting from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency, and has filed her nomination on May 14.

In the film, the actor plays the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film written by Ritesh Shah, is based on the political period, when then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared Emergency. Beside Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman and Satish Kaushik in major roles.

Actor, director and producer of the film, Kangana Ranaut has also shared the news on her Instagram handle. This is not the first time that the film has been postponed. Earlier, the film was scheduled to release in October-November 2023. The postponement of the much awaited film has disappointed the audience, but some also acknowledged the actor’s commitment to her political goals. 

A social media user wrote on Instagram that the actor is running away from another embarrassment. He added that Kangana Ranaut will be defeated in the election and the film will be a major flop. Some also opined that continuous postponement may affect the film’s business. Meanwhile, some film enthusiasts, who have been waiting for the release, have requested for the teaser of the film. 

Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Tejas, where she played the role of an Indian Air Force pilot. She also featured in Queen, Tanu weds Manu, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi among others. On the political front, she is contesting the Lok Sabha election for the first time as a BJP candidate.

Entrepreneur and Shark Tank judge Namita Thapar made a stunning debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 on Wednesday. The entrepreneur walked the red carpet, and attended the premier of the highly anticipated, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, starring Chris Hemsworth.

Namita Thapar said in an interview that it was wonderful to participate in the festival, surrounded by fashion, movies, and music. The Shark Tank judge expressed that she was enjoying her debut experience at Cannes. 

Thapar donned a mint green gown with a leg slit and a long trail, designed by Lebanese fashion designer Elio Abou Fayssal. Speaking about her attire, the entrepreneur said that she loved the colour because it was so different, and had never worn it before. She hoped to manage the long trail, praying not to trip over it on the red carpet.

Namita Thapar’s presence at the Cannes Film Festival marks a significant moment as she expressed, to represent the entire Indian entrepreneur fraternity at the event. The Shark Tank judge also highlighted the increasing influence of Indian celebrities at international events like Cannes.

Her participation not only signifies a personal achievement but also sheds light on the impact of Indian entrepreneurship and entertainment in the global arena. Actor Deepti Sadhwani from Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah has already walked the red carpet, adding to the Indian presence at Cannes. Aditi Rao Hydari and Urvashi Rautela are also attending the festival, and representing Indian cinema and fashion on the global stage.
