Cricketer Irfan Pathan reveals wife Safa Baig’s face on 8th marriage anniversary, picture goes viral

Former cricketer Irfan Pathan celebrated his 8th wedding anniversary by revealing his wife’s face on social media.

Former India all-rounder took to social media to share a picture with his wife Safa Baig while wishing her on the couple’s 8th marriage anniversary. However, as per various reports, this is the first time Pathan has revealed his wife’s face on social media.

Sharing the pictures on social media, he wrote a heartfelt note for his wife praising her for various roles that she plays in her life. He said, infinite roles mastered by one soul – mood booster, comedian, troublemaker, and the constant companion, friend, and mother of his children. He cherishes all her roles in this beautiful journey.

Notably, Pathan has already faced criticism for hiding his wife’s face when posting images of them on social media.

In 2020, Pathan, who represented India in 29 Tests, 120 ODIs, and 24 T20Is, announced his retirement from cricket. The former all-rounder still plays in legends leagues and other cricket leagues featuring some the sport’s all-time greats. The next opportunity to watch Pathan in action is in the Asian Legends League, which will include some of the greatest players in history.

Meanwhile, in a recent match, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer’s dismal Test performance for India, Pathan recently showed his support to them. In their most recent Test matches for India, Gill and Iyer have both delivered below-average returns; this dire trend has carried over into the current Test series against England. But Pathan feels that in the first two Tests, without Virat Kohli, the two of them must be backed.

India lost the first match of the five-match series against England by 28 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, and now trail 1-0. Speaking about the second Test at Visakhapatnam, at the end of Day 2’s play, the hosts were in control.
