Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin continued to break records as he went past Anil Kumble’s record of most Test wickets in India in the third innings of the 4th Test in Ranchi on Sunday. Kumble had taken 350 wickets in 63 Test matches at home and Ashwin surpassed that mark after striking twice in two balls to dismiss Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope on Day 3 of India Vs England, 4th Test in Ranchi.

Duckett pushed at a delivery by coming forward and the ball popped up with Sarfaraaz Khan at forward short leg pulling off a simple catch. Pope on the other hand was struck on the back pad in front of the leg stump and a review could not save the Englishman with replays showing that the ball would have clipped the top of the middle stump.
