Amul ad featuring Bill Gates and Dolly Chaiwala goes viral

Amul, which is known for its high-quality dairy products across the world, is also known for its brilliant illustrations. The dairy giant made a quircky illustration of former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates and Dolly Chaiwala, a popular tea vendor, after their video went viral on the internet.

The tech billionaire traveled to India to take part in the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani. After arriving in India, Gates caused a stir on social media with his intense encounter with Dolly Chaiwala, who runs a roadside stand on Nagpur’s Ravindra Nath Tagore Marg.

After the viral video, Amul Topical created a comic illustration that had Bill Gates and Dolly Chaiwala with the text saying, “Chaicrosoft. Amul-Gatesway To Taste”.

However, the graphic was based on a true story, but it had a small twist to it. In the animated version, Gates was seen receiving two slices of bread with Amul butter from Dolly Chaiwala, who was also holding a glass of tea in his other hand.

Sharing the image on Instagram, Amul wrote, Bill Gates enjoys tea at Dolly Chaiwala. As soon as it was shared online, it quickly went viral. Netizens took to the comment section and thanked Amul India’s marketing team for their creativity and understanding of current social media trends.

A user said brilliant creativity. Another said the idea is unique. A third user said Amul India has the best creative team. A fourth user said tea-rrafic. Others also appreciated the post.

After being posted, the post has received over 8,800 likes.

Meanwhile, the three-day pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, which began yesterday, included eminent personalities from all around the world. Today is the second day of the grand event, which is devoted to Indian culture and tradition.

Television actor Sanchita Ugale, known for her appearances in Kumkum Bhagya, Wagle Ki Duniya and Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi, died by suicide at her residence in Nalasopara East near Mumbai on June 14. She was 22.

According to police officials, the incident took place at her home in Achole village, Nalasopara East. Authorities said Ugale had locked herself inside her bedroom and was later found hanging from a ceiling fan. Family members and local residents rushed her to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. Officials said inquiries are underway and the exact reason behind the incident has not yet been established.

Career across television, OTT and films

Ugale had built a growing presence in the entertainment industry through television, streaming projects and films. Apart from Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya, she played a lead role in Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi. She also appeared in OTT projects such as Crime Aaj Kal and Silence 2.

The actor was also associated with the film Chhaava, which contributed to her growing recognition among audiences.

Last social media post draws attention

Following news of her death, social media users shared and commented on Ugale’s final Instagram post, which had been uploaded hours before the incident. The post showed the actor in traditional attire lip-syncing to a classic Bollywood song. Fans expressed shock and grief after learning of her death.
