Nani’s HIT 3 receives praise for its stylish action and intense storyline, marking a shift in tone from the earlier franchise entries.

Nani’s much-awaited action thriller HIT 3 has finally arrived in cinemas, and early audience reactions suggest the Telugu star has struck the right chord once again. The third installment in the HIT franchise, directed by Dr Sailesh Kolanu, hit the screens on Thursday, clashing with Suriya’s Retro, yet holding its own with an impressive box office response, especially in Karnataka.

Social media platforms have been abuzz with reactions since the film’s release, with many viewers lauding Nani’s transformation into the intense cop, Arjun Sarkar. Unlike the previous films in the franchise which leaned heavily on investigative drama, HIT 3 is being celebrated for its pivot towards a more stylized and action-heavy narrative.

Audiences call it ‘sensational’ and ‘blockbuster’

From calling it a “blockbuster” to hailing it as “S-E-N-S-A-T-I-O-N-A-L”, fans across social platforms have declared HIT 3 a success. A section of the audience praised its visual appeal and high-energy sequences, with one post noting, “Moves away from grounded investigation to a stylized action film but delivers well. Nani is great as usual.”

Though not everyone was completely thrilled with the first half of the movie, citing some average scenes and pacing issues, the overwhelming consensus points towards Nani’s performance and the gripping background score as standout elements. One viewer remarked that despite certain unnecessary scenes, the BGM (background music) elevated the impact.

Surprise cameos and cinematic intensity

In addition to the central performance, fans were thrilled by the inclusion of two surprise cameos which reportedly led to cheers in theatres. Nani’s portrayal of Arjun Sarkar, a determined and emotionally charged police officer, has particularly resonated with audiences. The film is also being applauded for its high production value and slick cinematography, supported by Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Production.

Co-starring Srinidhi Shetty as the lead female character, the film delves into a multi-layered narrative exploring the pursuit of justice. With its stylized visuals and emotionally driven storyline, HIT 3 sets a new tone for the franchise and stands tall as one of Telugu cinema’s early highlights of 2025.
