The online registration process of admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) has been started on February 28, 2022, Monday. For the class 1 KV online registration, parents need to visit the official website, which is kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. Parents can register their child for class 1 till March 21, 2022, at 7 pm.

How to apply for KVS admissions 2022-23?

Parents have to follow the step-by-step process given below to fill the KVS application form for the academic year 2022-23.

Step 1: First of all, visit the official website, which is kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in.
Step 2: After this, click on the registration link at the homepage.
Step 3: Then, enter the required credentials to register yourselF.
Step 4: Then, fill the KV online application form 2022-23.
Step 5: After filling the form, upload all the documents required and click on the Submit option.
Step 6: Then, download the KVS admission form 2022-23.
Step 7: Take out the printout of the application form for your future reference.

What are the documents required for KVS Online admissions 2022-23?

The following is the list of documents required for the KVS admissions 2022-23.

  1. Birth Certificate or the Age proof.
  2. Caste certificate for those who belongs to the SC, ST, EWS or OBC category.
  3. Proof of the residence.
  4. Relationship prooffor grandchildren of Members of the Parliament
  5. Retirement certificate for uniformed Defence employees
  6. Certificate of Pwd (If applicable)

What are the guidelines for the KV admissions 2022-23?

  • Officials will automatically reject the icomplete application.
  • If any wrong certificate is uploaded, then admission will be cancelled by the KV school’s principal.
  • Each shift in Kendriyala Vidyala will be treated sepratae by the officials.
  • If parents fill more than one application of then only the last application form that are filled by parents will be considered for the KV admissions 2022-23.
  • If children is talking admission in class 1, then the age of child must be 6 years as on 31 March.

The Indian Army has announced the Agniveer Common Entrance Examination (CEE) Result 2026, allowing candidates to check their qualifying status through the official recruitment portal. The Army Recruitment Office (ARO)-wise merit lists have been uploaded on joinindianarmy.nic.in, where candidates can download the PDF corresponding to their recruitment region.

The merit lists contain the names and roll numbers of candidates who have successfully cleared the written examination and become eligible for the next phase of the Agniveer recruitment process.

Candidates can access their results by following these steps:

  • Visit the official Indian Army recruitment website.
  • Click on the Agniveer CEE Result 2026 link available on the homepage.

What happens after the Agniveer CEE result?

Candidates shortlisted in the Common Entrance Examination will now have to undergo the remaining stages of the recruitment process. These include:

  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Document Verification (DV)

Board examination marks could soon carry greater significance in admissions to medical and engineering courses, with the Centre reportedly considering a proposal to assign 50% weightage to board scores alongside entrance examinations such as NEET and JEE.

The proposal is part of a broader set of education reforms aimed at reducing the pressure associated with high-stakes examinations and making the admission process more balanced.

Education Ministry panel reviewing admission reforms

According to sources, the proposal is being examined by the Ministry of Education’s nine-member committee that was constituted last year. The panel was tasked with studying students’ growing dependence on coaching institutes, the rise of “dummy schools”, and concerns over fairness in major entrance examinations.

The committee is exploring several measures to improve the existing admission system while reducing the emphasis on a single examination.

Why the reforms are being considered

The discussions come in the wake of multiple controversies involving the examination system, including reported evaluation errors and paper leak incidents. These developments have sparked a wider debate over the credibility and reliability of high-stakes entrance examinations.

To address these concerns, the committee is considering giving 50% weightage to board examination marks in the admission merit process.

Other changes under consideration

Apart from increasing the role of board examination scores, the panel is also examining several other reforms.

These include aligning entrance examinations more closely with school syllabi to reduce students’ dependence on coaching centres, allowing multiple attempts for entrance tests, and gradually introducing adaptive, on-demand computer-based examinations.

Current admission process

At present, admissions to medical and engineering programmes are primarily based on candidates’ performance in entrance examinations such as NEET and JEE. Students are also required to secure the prescribed qualifying marks in their board examinations to become eligible for these entrance tests.

The proposed reforms are currently under consideration, and no final decision has been announced.

The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) 2026, scheduled to be conducted on June 28, has been postponed following allegations of a question paper leak. The decision was announced after police uncovered material suspected to be linked to the examination during a raid in Thane district.

Authorities said the suspected leak came to light during an early morning operation in Bhiwandi, where individuals were allegedly found in possession of question papers that matched the actual examination material. Three people have been arrested in connection with the case, while further investigations are underway.

The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) subsequently decided to postpone the examination to maintain the integrity and transparency of the recruitment process. Officials stated that a fresh date for the examination will be announced later. Candidates will be required to download new admit cards once the revised schedule is released.

According to officials, more than six lakh candidates were expected to appear for the examination across 1,700-plus centres in the state. The postponement, announced just a day before the test, has affected thousands of aspirants preparing for teaching positions in Maharashtra schools.

The incident has once again raised concerns over the security of competitive examinations in the state, with opposition parties criticising the government over recurring allegations of paper leaks.
