Ananya Panday is ready to step into the OTT world with Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming original series Call Me Bae.

The actor will play fashion police in the scripted series. Actor Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to share a fun video to announce the series on Thursday, which was also shared by Prime Video’s official Instagram account.

In the video, Panday can be seen seeking the blessings of Meryl Streep, whose iconic character Miranda Priestly is considered the originator of fashion police from the Hollywood film The Devil Wears Prada.

The promo introduces her as ‘Bae’, playing a fashion expert and schooling Dhawan for his lack of knowledge and ignorance when it comes to fashion.

The banter between them continues as he laughs at her for calling herself a fashion expert. He whispers how calling the designer Manish Malhotra ‘chachu’ doesn’t make you a fashion expert.

Dhawan then goes on to make fun of her for being too picky in a fashion which agitates her and she delivers a Meryl-inspired monologue to roast him.
