Passenger announces three-city India tour in November 2025

British singer-songwriter Michael Rosenberg, known by his stage name Passenger, revealed plans for his long-awaited India debut as part of his Asia tour later this year.

The folk-pop artist, famed for his 2012 global hit Let Her Go, will perform in three Indian cities, kicking off in Delhi-NCR on November 19 at DLF CyberHub, followed by Mumbai on November 21 at Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla, and concluding in Bengaluru on November 22 at Phoenix Marketcity.

Tickets for the concerts will be available for purchase starting June 17, 2025, at 10 AM via BookMyShow. Passenger, who transitioned from leading a five-member band to a solo act since 2009, gained international acclaim with Let Her Go from his album All The Little Lights, earning a Brit Award nomination in 2014. The song remains a cultural touchstone, amassing over 2.5 billion Spotify streams and 3.8 billion YouTube views.

Beyond Let Her Go, Rosenberg’s repertoire includes beloved tracks like Anywhere, Simple Song, Sword from the Stone, and Heart’s on Fire. His latest album, Birds That Flew and Ships That Sailed, dropped in 2022, showcasing his evolving artistry.

Earlier today, at 07:30 PM IST, Passenger teased the India tour on Instagram with a short acoustic clip of Let Her Go, captioned “India, here we come!” The post, shared with vibrant visuals of the tour cities, has already sparked excitement among fans, heightening anticipation for his live performances.

This debut tour promises to bring Rosenberg’s heartfelt melodies to Indian audiences, marking a significant milestone in his global journey.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.
