Jason David Frank, Green Power Rangers star commits suicide at 49, co-actors pay heartfelt tribute

Jason David Frank, an American actor, committed suicide on November 19 at his home in Texas, USA. The actor was famous for playing the role of Green Power Ranger Tommy Oliver in the original 1990s children’s show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Frank’s manager, Justine Hunt, announced the actor’s demise on Sunday without revealing the reason behind his death. In a statement, she said, Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being. He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will truly be missed.

Frank was 49. He is survived by his four children, two sons, Hunter and Jacob, and two daughters, Skye and Jenna.

The actor’s sudden demise has shaken the entertainment industry. Walter E. Jones, Frank’s Power Rangers co-star, also paid tribute to the actor. Sharing a throwback photo with Frank, Walter wrote, Can’t believe it…. RIP Jason David Frank. My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family.

Another co-star of Frank, Amy Jo Johnson, also expressed her grief on social media and wrote Can’t believe it. My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family. Jase, you were beautiful and truly unique. My life just won’t be the same without your frenetic, hilarious, caring, driven, and creative ball of energy. I will always love you, dear friend. Please Rest now in Peace.

The social media page for Power Rangers also paid tribute to the actor and wrote All of Ranger Nation is deeply saddened by the loss of Jason David Frank. JDF brought countless smiles to fans over the years and will be greatly missed. May the Power protect him, always.

Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who appeared in several Hindi films and was particularly remembered for his role in the 2007 comedy Welcome, has died at the age of 56.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.

The newborn is the couple’s second daughter. Deepika and Ranveer became parents for the first time in September 2024, when they welcomed their daughter Dua.
