Zee5 Global’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan records highest viewership on release day

On June 23, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan premiered worldwide on ZEE5 Global, the biggest streaming service for South Asian content. On its first day, the Farhad Samji-directed film had a huge opening. The action drama surpassed Salman Khan’s previous hits, Antim and Radhe, in terms of viewership on release day in 2023 and quickly rose to the top of the platform. The period drama RRR won the Golden Globe for best historical drama, and within 24 hours of its debut, the film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan had the second-largest opening of any movie ever seen on the site.

The story of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan revolves around a nobleman who will stop at nothing to keep his loved ones safe.

The film was made under Salman Khan Films, the homegrown production of Salman Khan, which focuses on four brothers. The oldest brother, Bhaijaan who is played by Salman Khan, has resolved to lead a bachelor’s life in order to care for his three younger brothers played by Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill, and Siddharth Nigam. In the meantime, his brothers, who have already found their soul mates, band together to find Bhaijaan the ideal marriage. The plot twist occurs when a beautiful woman which is played by Pooja Hegde enters his life. This high-octane action-drama movie is full with romantic scenes, family moments, and him patching things up because of his fiance.

Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who appeared in several Hindi films and was particularly remembered for his role in the 2007 comedy Welcome, has died at the age of 56.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.

Mushtaq Khan dies at 56

The actor’s death was reported on September 24, 2026. Reports said Khan had been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with liver cancer and had been hospitalised for around 15 days. Further details surrounding his death were awaited in the initial reports.
