FIR registered against Rakhi Sawant in Ranchi after she makes fun of adivasis in her video

The Queen of controversies, Rakhi Sawant, has landed herself in trouble. An FIR has been registered against the actor-dancer in Ranchi over her video wherein she termed her belly dancer look as adivasi.

Reports said that the Jharkhand’s Kendriya Sarna Samiti has filed a police complaint against her and demanded an apology from the actor. The video in question was shared by the Bollywood journalist, Viral Bhayani on his Instagram handle wherein Rakhi could be seen dressed as a belly dancer. She further describes her look as adivasi and tribal.

Rakhi Sawant was last seen in Bigg Boss 15 competing with Karan Kundrra, Shamita Shetty, Pratik Sahejpal and the winner herself, Tejasswi Prakash. However, this was not for the first time that the actor-dancer entered the Bigg Boss house. She has been approached four times by the makers of this reality show. And she has never said no to Bigg Boss. Unfortunately, Rakhi Sawant has never been able to reach the finals or win the trophy.

On the work front, Rakhi Sawant will be further seen in Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria starrer Heropanti 2. The dancer-actor will be seen in a short cameo sharing screen space with both these young actors.

Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who appeared in several Hindi films and was particularly remembered for his role in the 2007 comedy Welcome, has died at the age of 56.

Khan was known for playing supporting characters across Hindi cinema and had worked in films spanning several decades. His role as Balu in Welcome remains among his best-known performances.

Mushtaq Khan’s film career

Mushtaq Khan appeared in a wide range of films during his career. His filmography included Aashiqui, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Gopi Kishan, Krantiveer, Raja, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jodi No. 1 and Hera Pheri.

He also featured in more recent films including Stree 2, Gadar 2, Baby John, Dhoom Dhaam and Jaat. His filmography lists acting work continuing into 2026.

In Welcome, Khan played Balu, a supporting character in the comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and other prominent actors.

The actor’s death was reported on September 24, 2026. Reports said Khan had been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with liver cancer and had been hospitalised for around 15 days. Further details surrounding his death were awaited in the initial reports.

The newborn is the couple’s second daughter. Deepika and Ranveer became parents for the first time in September 2024, when they welcomed their daughter Dua.
