Anurag Kashyap and Gulshan Devaiah have joined forces for a new Indian series titled Bad Cop, which will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The director shared the teaser for the upcoming thriller series in an Instagram post.

In the teaser, Anurag Kashyap can be seen playing the role of Kazbe, a powerful gangster who enjoys intimidating others. The scene opens with Kazbe forcing a man to sing the ABC Song mockingly while his associates watch. Kazbe then spots someone outside and challenges the man to say a word that starts with the letter K, wanting to hear his name as a sign of his dominance.

However, as the tension builds, Gulshan Devaiah’s character, Inspector Karan, enters the scene. Karan is a determined police officer who starts to pursue Kazbe, setting up a thrilling chase. He highlighted the effort needed to delve into Kazbe’s intricacies and truly own the role. Kashyap also mentioned that being directed by Aditya Datt was a positive experience.

Gulshan Devaiah also shared his excitement about working on Bad Cop, describing it as a highly entertaining project and noting that his role as a cop in this series is different from his previous portrayals. He appreciated Aditya Datt’s straightforward approach to creating an entertaining show and acknowledged the physical challenges of the action scenes.

Bad Cop, directed by Aditya Datt, is adapted from the 2017 German show Bad Cop: Kriminell Gut. It follows twin brothers Jesko, a successful police inspector, and Jan, a hardened criminal.
