Shatrughan Sinha and his wife, Poonam Sinha, recently hosted a delightful get-together to celebrate their wedding anniversary and honour the memory of the late legendary actor, Sanjeev Kumar. The gathering saw the presence of esteemed guests, including veteran actor Mumtaz and Siddharth Kak, renowned for the popular Doordarshan show Surabhi.
On Monday, Shatrughan Sinha took to Twitter and shared a series of pictures from the joyous bash, introducing his fans to the esteemed attendees. Among the guests were the charismatic and talented actress Mumtaz, the accomplished Indian television producer and presenter Siddharth Kak, and the renowned businessman Surinder Kikku Wadhwani, alongside other distinguished guests and elites.
The event served as an opportunity to pay tribute to the late and great actor Sanjeev Kumar, who was remembered as a friend, philosopher, guide, and fine human being. Alongside this heartfelt remembrance, the occasion also marked the celebration of Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha’s wedding anniversary, attended by Shatrughan’s elder brother Dr. Lakshman Sinha, his gracious wife Mrs. Geeta Sinha, and their children. Poonam Sinha played the role of a perfect hostess, making the evening truly memorable and refreshing.
Siddharth Kak, well-known for hosting Surabhi along with Renuka Shahane, has also ventured into films, with appearances in movies like Mr. India (1987) and Love Aaj Kal 2 (2020). Mumtaz, on the other hand, occasionally shares pictures from her reunions with fellow film celebrities, having recently posted snapshots with Salim Khan, Jackie Shroff, Poonam Dhillon, Reena Roy, Khushboo Sundar, and others from a party.
Notably, Shatrughan Sinha and Mumtaz have collaborated on several films together, including Khilona (1970), Ek Nari Ek Brahmachari (1971), Jheel Ke Us Paar (1973), and Aandhiyan (1990). In his book released in 2021, Shatrughan revealed an interesting anecdote about his role in Khilona, where Mumtaz’s intervention saved him from being replaced by the film’s producer after an argument.
