Sonam Kapoor making India proud, the only Indian to attend Dior’s Autumn winter show this year in Paris

Sonam Kapoor is a genuine fashionista, as seen by her statement-making style choices. She consistently attracts attention with her stylish appearance whenever she goes out in the city or attends an event. Sonam is one of the actors that reinvented style and fashion in the business.

The iconic fashion designer Christian Dior, with whom the global fashion icon has a very close relationship, has invited her to attend her Autumn-Winter collection show at Paris Fashion Week. The only Indian actor invited by Dior to attend their Autumn-Winter show during the ongoing Paris Fashion Week is Sonam Kapoor.

Sonam, an ambassador for Indian culture in the West, will attend the occasion with Academy Award winner Natalie Portman. It will undoubtedly be stunning to look at and a major fashion moment. She will see Dior present their luxurious haute couture collection for the Autumn-Winter of 2023–2024 during fashion week.

Sonam will be joining the elite of the fashion industry for the occasion, having previously attended Paris Fashion Week as a showstopper for Ralph and Russo. It’s interesting to note that Sonam attended Dior’s first fashion show in India since 1962, which took place in March 2023 at Mumbai’s iconic Gateway of India. A number of celebrities, including Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Virat Kohli, and Anushka Sharma, graced the occasion.

Even Sonam posted a sneak peek at her Dior invitation to her Instagram story in which she said that she is excited for the show.

Sonam will appear in Shome Makhija’s film Blind which will release on Jio Cinema on July 7. Along with Sonam it also features Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey in significant roles. This movie is also special to her as it is her first movie since the birth of her son Vayu. Sonam will also appear in two high-profile projects beginning next year, the specifics of which have been kept under wraps.

The makers of Do Aur Do Pyaar held a special screening of the film in Mumbai on Wednesday evening which was attended by many Bollywood stars who came together to watch the romantic comedy that stars Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi in the lead along with Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy.

Vidya Balan who plays the lead role in Do Aur Do Pyaar looked ravishing in a navy blue lehenga which was paired with a long red jacket. Vidya Balan completed the look with ethnic studs and a ruby-red pout with a small bindi on her forehead. She proved that  no one can slay in fusion wear like her!

Pratik Gandhi looked smashing for the premiere of his film as he was dressed to the 9s for his movie’s premiere. Pratik Gandhi wore a hunter-green suit paired with a brown t-shirt and matching shoes. A brighter t-shirt would have gone better with the look, he made the right impressions with his look.

Television’s actor Mouni Roy was seen in a red hot corset skater dress with a plunging neckline. She completed the look with a black sling bag and multicoloured heels which looked very chic! Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan joined his Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star Vidya at the premiere of Do Aur Do Pyaar with their director Anees Bazmee. The actor looked casual yet cool in a black t-shirt and matching pants, adding a splash of colour with his red and white sneakers.

Radhika Madan looked very classy in her black bodycon dress paired with pencil heels. The asymmetrical neckline added an extra edge, making it perfect for the premiere. Another B-town celebrity Shriya Saran shined brighter than the sun in her blingy outfit. The actor paired a yellow sequin top with a mini fringe skirt and completed her look with white lace-up gladiator heels.

Amitabh Bachchan to receive Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar award, AR Rahman, Randeep Hooda to be honored

Amitabh Bachchan, with multiple awards to his name, is a household name in the Indian cinema industry. He has been invited to receive the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puruskar soon, which would add another feather to his cap.

Every year, this prestigious award is given to a person who has made a significant contribution to the country, its citizens, and society. AR Rahman and Randeep Hooda are also named along with him to accept the award.

The Mangeshkar family announced in a press release that Amitabh Bachchan would get the esteemed Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award. This award honours those who have had a significant influence on society and was established in memory of Lata Mangeshkar, who passed away in 2022.

On April 24, the day they pay tribute to their late father, theater and music icon Deenanath Mangeshkar, 81-year-old Bachchan will get the award.

The award was previously given to Asha Bhosle, the sister of Lata Mangeshkar, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2023. The press announcement also revealed that A R Rahman, for his outstanding contributions to Indian music, will be awarded the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar. In addition, Randeep Hooda will receive the Vishesh Puraskar in recognition of his outstanding contributions to film.

The award for exceptional social work will also be awarded to the non-profit organization, the Deepstambh Foundation Manobal. Furthermore, the drama Galib, which is produced by Malhar and Vajreshwari under the Ashtavinayak Prakashit banner, is going to be awarded the title of finest drama of the year.

The Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar (Vagvilasini Puraskar) will be given to Marathi author Manjiri Phadke in recognition of her outstanding contributions to literature. In addition, Ashok Saraf and Padmini Kolhapure will be awarded the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar for their outstanding contributions to the film industry.

Other awardees include Atul Parchure for his commitment to theater and drama, Bhau Torsekar for his editing services, and Roopkumar Rathod for his exceptional contributions to music. According to the press release, Asha Bhosle will give the awards to the meritorious honorees, while Hridaynath Mangeshkar will preside over the event.

Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail to release in over 20,000 screens in China

Vikrant Massey starrer 12th is scheduled to realse in China. Vikrant and Medha Shankr, who played the main lead in the film, are excited and looking forward to it.

During a recent interview, Vikrant said, it is too early to say that if he is going to China or not for film’s promotion. However, he said he is really excited that something like this has happened after a long time, but it is too early to talk about that.

Aamir Khan had earlier visited China to promote his movie Dangal and 3 Idiots, which was likewise quite successful film across the country.

Additionally, Vikrant said that the makers of 12th Fail had been preparing for its distribution in China for some time. He also said that the film will be released in China in more than 20,000 screens.

He said, after several months of development, the news has finally surfaced, and everyone is aware that the film will be released in China. In China, there is a great appetite for Hindi or Indian films. Over 20,000 screens are available for 12th Fail. The quantity of screens is a result of China’s strong entertainment industry, he said.

Meanwhile, last week, 12th Fail also accomplished an incredible feat. It is the first film in 23 years to have shown in theaters for a full 25 weeks. In the Indian film industry, this landmark is referred to as a silver jubilee and denotes remarkable public response and ongoing popularity.

In order to show his appreciation, Massey posted a unique poster on social media that marked the event. He captioned the images, first film in 23 years to achieve this milestone. He also added that they are grateful to the audiences for realizing their dream.

The film is based on the same-titled book published in 2019 that tells the story of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma’s early years and hardships.
