The Oscar nominee All That Breathes has finally been released in India. Shaunak Sen’s documentary was nominated for Best Documentary Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards and can now be seen at the OTT giant, Disney + Hotstar.
The run time of the documentary is 2 hours and it is streaming in the original Hindi-English mix only and is streaming from March 22. All That Breathes is about the story of two brothers, Mohammad Saud and Nadeem, who run a humble bird clinic in Delhi. They spend endless hours caring for fallen kites, helping the birds of prey to fly again. They have rescued over 20,000 injured birds in over two decades.
Shaunak Sen missed out on the Oscars and lost to Navalny but earlier he won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival and the Golden Eye Award in the Best Documentary category at the Cannes Film Festival.
A few days ago, he had reacted to this loss and said that the team was low for a while. He had taken to Instagram to share a few pictures stating it was very difficult for him to wrap his brain around the fact that it was the end of this chapter.
