Amarnath Yatra 2022 registration begins: Here’s how to register, documents required and other details
The annual Amarnath Yatra 2022 is all set to begin on June 30 after a gap of 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The upcoming pilgrimage will continue till August 11, said Nitishwar Kumar, CEO of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board.

The upcoming pilgrimage will continue till August 11, said Nitishwar Kumar, CEO of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. The registration for the 43-day holy yatra to Shri Amarnath Shrine has already started on April 11. The pilgrims can also register online through the website and mobile app of the Shrine Board.
Nitishwar further stated that a Yatri Niwas, or pilgrim accommodation, has been built in the Ramban area of Jammu and Kashmir, with a capacity of 3,000 pilgrims.
Amarnath Yatra 2022: How to Register?
Go to the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board’s official website (SASB) or download an app from PlayStore or AppStore.
Select “What’s New” from the drop-down menu.
Choose the option to register online.
A new window will pop up.
To sign up for the Amarnath Yatra, click on the link.
Fill in all of the essential information and submit the Yatra registration form.
Yatra registration is now open in 446 Jammu and Kashmir Bank, PNB Bank, Yes Bank, and 100 SBI Bank branches across the country.
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags will be handed to pilgrims, allowing the Shrine board to track their movements.

Amarnath Yatra 2022: Documents Required
Filled-in prescribed Application Form
Prescribed Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued on or after the specified date by the Authorized Doctor/ Medical Institution.
Four passport-sized photographs (three for Yatra Permits and one for the Application form)
Amarnath Yatra 2022: Registration Fees
Yatris who registered last year must pay an additional Rs 20 for the fee, which was Rs 100 last year and is now Rs 120, according to Yatender Kumar, Deputy General Manager of Punjab National Bank, Jammu.
Amarnath Yatra 2022: Age Limit
Children under the age of 13 and elderly people over the age of 75 are not allowed to participate in the pilgrimage. Women who are more than six weeks pregnant are also not permitted to participate in the pilgrimage.

As per Hindu mythology, Akshaya Tritiya marks the start of Satyug and it is believed that on this day Lord Krishna gave Draupadi a patra (leaf) in which an abundance of food appeared for the Pandavas, who were then in exile.
