Badhaai Do trailer: Bhumi Pednekar-Rajkummar Rao starrer brings LGBTQ+ marriage problem with mix of straight gaze

The three-minute long trailer assures comedy, drama and so many twists and turns that the audience will not be able to get their eyes off the screen.
The trailer starts with Bhumi Pednekar’s character Suman telling her identification to police officer Shardul, Rajkummar Rao’s character. Suman, who is a 31 years old PT teacher, doesn’t want to get married at all. On the other hand, Shardul has been adamant for over 4 years to marry her. He somehow manages to convince Suman that he understands her, and has no problem. He offers her a wild plan to get marry each other just for the sake of getting rid of their parents taking their case every now and then. Then, begins the big fat Indian marriage preparation filled with standard Bollywood dance numbers, and as already mentioned, the drama. This couple’s married life is not like any normal couple. How can it be, when the couple is far from a normal heterosexual couple? The trailer ends with Shardul telling Suman that he knows that she is not interested in men, but he is. Hence established, this story is going togiev the audience so much hilarious laughter while dealing with a kind-of LGBTQ+ marriage, but with a straight gaze.
The stars of Badhaai Ho, Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, took to their respective social medias on January 24, 2022, to announce the release of the trailer.
Badhaai Do also stars Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chaddha and Lovleen Mishra, among others, in supporting roles. The film is written and directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni. Badhaai Do will be released under the banner of Junglee Pictures.

Film on Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee announced, everything you need to know
The movie is titled as Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon, Yeh Desh Rehna Chahiye – Atal and is scheduled to finish the shooting by early 2023. The biopic based on Ullekh NP’s book will be released on Christmas 2023.

Soon the Indian audience will be witnessing a biopic on the Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee. Titled as Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon, Yeh Desh Rehna Chahiye – Atal, the movie is based on Ullekh NP’s book The Untold Vajpayee: Politician and Paradox.
Filmmaker Sandeep Singh made an official announcement today and confirmed that the movie will hit theatres in 2023. “Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji will always be one of the greatest leaders of Indian history. The man will be remembered for winning hearts even of his enemies. He led the nation affirmatively and also created the blue print of progressive India,” Singh said.
Sandeep Singh further added, “Being a filmmaker, I believe that cinema is the best medium to communicate. And such untold stories, that will not only unveil his political ideologies, but also his humane and poetic aspects, should be told to the world. I truly believe that Atal ji was the most progressive Prime Minister ever had.”
However, the makers have not yet made any confirmation on who will be playing Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee on silver screen but reports suggest that the team is still looking for an appropriate face to take up this huge responsibility.

The film is backed by Vinod Bhanushali and is being produced by Sam Khan, Sandeep Singh, Kamlesh Bhanushali and Vishal Gurnani. The makers are yet to make an announcement on the full cast and crew of the film. Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon, Yeh Desh Rehna Chahiye – Atal is still under pre-production.

R Madhavan calls Rocketry protagonist Nambi Narayanan, father of James Bond, says Bond to bachcha hai inke saamne
R Madhavan’s directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will hit the big screens on July 1.

R Madhavan, who will be next seen in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, has compared former scientist Nambi Narayanan to fiction spy character James Bond and said Bond is a bachcha (child) in front of Narayanan.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Madhavan said that the achievements of James Bond, the fictional British Secret Service agent from the Bond film franchise, are nothing in comparision to Nambi.
Opening up about his conversation with Nambi, Madhvan said he understood the angst that he had, but what shocked him more, was the fact that he was given the Padma Bhushan, and nobody knows why.
Nambi Narayan is the father of James Bond. The american spy character is a kid infront of him (James Bond to baccha nikla inke saamne). He was absolutely incredible, Madhvan said.
Speaking about the Rocktery patroganist’s achievements, Madhavan, who has written, directed, and produced Rocketry, said Narayanan was arrested on espionage charges in the 90s, but was acquitted by the Supreme Court some years later. He was surprised to find out about the achievements of Nambi Narayanan when he started working on the project.
R Madhavan’s directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will hit the big screens on July 1. The film has been shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and English, and will be dubbed in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
Helmed by the protagonist himself, the venture will also see Rajit Kapur, Simran, Misha Ghoshal, Ravi Raghavendra, Muralidaran, Shyam Renganathan, and Karthik Kumar in ancillary roles.
The 3 idiot star R Madhavan was last seen in Netflix’s Decoupled. He will also be seen in The Railway Men, which also stars Babil Khan and Jahaan Kapoor.
