Indian National Congress said Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is an ideological yatra and not an electoral one, it has been taken out against the Anyay Kall of Modi-led BJP government’s ten years.

Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is to begin today from Manipur’s Thoubal district and will traverse 6,713 km, mostly by buses but also on foot. Over 67 days, it will visit 110 districts, ultimately concluding in Mumbai on either March 20 or 21.

The yatra will cover 100 Lok Sabha constituencies in 15 states and the party thinks it will be as impactful as Rahul Gandhi’s previous nationwide march.

The yatra will focus on issues such as unemployment, price rise and social justice.

The main focus of Rahul Gandhi’s yatra is to take the Bharat Jodo Yatra forward, highlighting the last 10 years, which is not Amrit Kaal but Anyay Kaal, said Congress leader Jairam Ramesh

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is a continuation of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. It is derived from the first line of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution, which ensures justice to all the people of India, he added.

Addressing the press on Saturday, Okram Ibobi Singh, Former Manipur CM said, our repeated requests to utilise government space in Imphal were initially rejected, but we eventually secured permission with certain restrictions after garnering national media attention. He further said that consequently, given the restrictions, we opted to explore alternative venues and ultimately settled on the Khongjom War Memorial complex, which is privately owned, not government land, the former CM added.

Yesterday, the opposition bloc INDIA had a virtual meeting. While addressing the media, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that leaders of the INDIA Coordination Committee met online and had a fruitful discussion on the alliance. Everyone is happy that the seat-sharing talks are progressing in a positive way. We also discussed about joint programs in the coming days by INDIA Parties.

The Congress president further said that I, along with Rahul Gandhi invited all INDIA Parties to join Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra at their convenience and use the opportunity to raise the social, political and economic issues plaguing the common people of this country.
