Veteran Congress leader Motilal Vora passed away on Monday, a day after celebrating his 93rd birthday.

Veteran Congress leader Motilal Vora passed away on Monday, a day after celebrating his 93rd birthday. The former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister was admitted to the Escorts hospital in Okhla a few days ago due to urinary infection. His family said he also had a lung infection and was put on ventilator support.
The veteran leader had tested positive for Covid-19 in October and was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi. He passed away following post Covid-19 complications, his family told news agency PTI. Vora will be cremated in Chattisgarh where his body will be taken either later in the day or on Tuesday.
Vora was a Rajya Sabha member from Chhattisgarh till April this year. He was also the AICC general secretary before the recent party reshuffle Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Condolences pour in soon after the news of his death broke out. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted that Vora ji was a true congressman and a wonderful human being and that the party will miss him very much.
Jairam Ramesh, Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka paid a tribute to Motilal Vora on Twitter. He said Vora was one of the most decent men who left his mark in public life in Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and in Parliament.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he is saddened by Vora’s demise. He said Vora had a vast administrative and organisational experience in a political career that spanned decades.

Vora was born on December 20, 1927 in Nimbi Jodhan, Rajasthan. Before joining politics, he worked in several newspapers. He served as the Congress party’s treasurer for many years before Ahmed Patel was given the post two years back. He was a Rajya Sabha member from Chhattisgarh till April this year.

A video has been making rounds on the internet where a couple can be seen hugging each other in the middle of the road as it hinders and disrupts the traffic. As per the reports, the incident is transpired on a Pune road.
In the video, a couple can be seen hugging each other on a heavily thronged road full of cars and traffic. The actions by the couple can be seen disrupting the movement of the traffic.
The video also shows various people, as well as, traffic policeman rushing towards the couple to question them. After receiving a lot of flak by the people on the road, the couple can be seen retiring to the side as they smile at each other.

After the video of the incident went viral, may users came forward to add their take on the incident as one user wrote that the it’s a shooting, implying that the couple were actors and playing along to the script as such a thing happening on a busy road is usually met with harsher punishments.
One user wrote and questioned the user who shared the video by saying that the couple are kissing. The user wrote that if one looks closely at the the incident, they will realise what really is happening.
One user questioned the couple’s actions and probed about the rational behind doing such an act in the middle of a road, implying that this is not proving anything and only disrupting everyone’s day.
One user wrote that such people are trying to make India a western country. The user further wrote that it is good to bring change in the country, however, he added that it is not a good thing to disturb the public by stopping the traffic.

Lakshadweep MP Mohammed Faizal’s Lok Sabha membership restored ahead of SC hearing
The notification, issued by the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha Utpal Singh, stated that Faizal’s membership has been restored keeping in view the order passed by the Kerala High Court on January 25.

Ahead of the Supreme Court hearing on the matter of Lakshadweep MP Mohammed Faizal’s disqualification from the Lok Sabha, the LS secretariat issued a notification stating that his membership has been restored.
The notification, issued by the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha Utpal Singh, stated that Faizal’s membership has been restored keeping in view the order passed by the Kerala High Court on January 25.
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader, who was disqualified from the Lok Sabha in an attempt to murder case, appealed to the Supreme Court on March 28 that he has not been reinstated back to the Parliament even though his conviction has been stayed by the Kerala High Court.
The matter was to be heard later today, however, before the hearing Faizal’s membership was restored.
The Kavaratti Session Court convicted the NCP MP and three others to 10 years of imprisonment on January 11, 2023, in an attempt to murder case in connection with the 2009 incident. Following the conviction of a two-time MP from the island, his membership was disqualified and the Election Commission of India announced by-polls.
He was convicted by the Sessions Court under various Sections including 143, 147, 148, 307, 324, 342, 448, 506 and other offenses of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Faizal’s Lok Sabha membership was restored amid Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from the Lok Sabha in 2019 criminal defamation case. The case will come in handy for Rahul Gandhi to restore his Lok Sabha membership that was struck down by the Lok Sabha Secretary General on March 24.

Women Sub-inspector in Haryana caught red-handed taking bribe by vigilance agency, video goes viral | Watch
The video also shows the vigilance team dispersing the crowd assembled around the team after witnessing the unraveling. The officials can also be heard asking the police official who did she take the bribe from after which she can be seen shaking her head.

A video has been going viral on social media where a woman sub-inspector was caught red handed taking a bribe by the vigilance agency. As per the reports, the sub-inspector has been identified as Munnni Devi and it was also reported that a total of 5,000 Rs was recovered from her.
In the video, the sub-inspector can be seen being escorted by the team away from the crowd as they try to question her. After stepping away from the crowd, the sub-inspector can be seen handing over the bribed money over to a member of the vigilance agency. The sub-inspector can be seen in a state of shock and fear.

Another incident
Another incident came to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly where a man was brutally beaten up, man handled by the 112 policemen. As per the reports, the incident between the policemen and the man escalated over some dispute of money.
In the video, the two policemen can be seen manhandling and shoving the man. The video also shows the two policemen picking up the man and slamming him against the bike. The police in the video can be seen unabashedly displaying their unruly behavior while the local residents watch them.
Toward the end of the video, one policeman can be seen slapping the man across his face as the man recollects himself from the assault. The other policeman can be seen trying the pacify the situation as he tries to stop his colleague from hitting him further.
