Video of chain-snatchers in Ghaziabad goes viral, police register case | WATCH
The police also said that a case has been registered in Indirapuram Police station and they have also made teams to nab down the thieves as well.
A video has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad where two bike-borne men robbed the woman on a street as they snatched the woman’s chain in broad day light. The woman is reported to be the wife of the SDM’s wife. The video of the incident was captured on a CCTV camera.
The incident reportedly transpired on February 13 after which the victim alarmed the police who took cognizance of the matter and filed a case.
In the video, two bike-born men can be seen coming out of nowhere while the woman crosses the road. The two bike-borne men can be seen circling around the woman before jumping in and snatching the woman’s chain.
After the thieves snatched the woman’s chain, the woman can be seen being shoved to the ground as something in her hands can also be seen slipping and falling out of her hand. The incident unfolded in the daytime.

Police action
The police have told that the video which is going viral transpired on January 14 after which a woman who resides in Ghaziabad’s Vasundra fell victim to a chain snatching theft. The police also said that a case has been registered in Indirapuram Police station and they have also made teams to nab down the thieves as well.

After the video went viral, many users came forward to add their take on the incident as one user wrote and questioned what has happened to the people and further asked have the people stopped fearing the law and order in the state. The user further said one should at the very least be scared of God.
One user slammed the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and raked up his claims on women being safe at 12 in the night, implying how, despite the CM’s claims, the situation on ground is contrary to what the CM says.

Vande Bharat: PM Modi to inaugurate 9 new trains in 11 states today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today, nine Vande Bharat trains that connect tourist and religious sites in 11 states. There will be elections in three of the following states: Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gujarat.
The trains will be signalled off by the prime minister via video conference. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of the railways, will also attend the inaugural ceremony. The 11 states will have faster connectivity thanks to these trains.
These trains are a step towards achieving the prime minister’s aim of enhancing connectivity throughout the nation and offering top-notch amenities to rail passengers, according to a statement from the government.
The Vande Bharat trains will be the fastest train along the routes of their operation, it continued, and will help save the passengers significant time.
Compared to the fastest train as of now on the routes, Vande Bharat trains will cut travel time between destinations by three hours in the Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri and Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram routes; more than two and a half hours for Hyderabad-Bengaluru; more than two hours for Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai; about one hour for Ranchi-Howrah, Patna-Howrah and Jamnagar-Ahmedabad; about half an hour for between Udaipur and Jaipur.
The important religious towns of Puri and Madurai would be connected by the trains Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Puri and Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai.
The Renigunta route will be used by the Vijayawada-Chennai Vande Bharat train, which would offer connectivity to Tirupati.
As the festival season approaches, it is anticipated that the new trains will offer a comfortable travel experience.
Before this fiscal year concludes the following year, Indian Railways also intends to introduce a sleeper version of the Vande Bharat and Vande Metro. According to railway authorities, the non-air conditioned push-pull variant of the semi-high speed train series, which will be introduced in October 2024, would feature 22 coaches and a locomotive.

After laying the foundation stone of the International Cricket Stadium in Varanasi’s Ganjari, PM Modi and CM Yogi attended the cultural event where the artists were performing to celebrate the evening.
At the occasion of the International Cricket Stadium, the cricket fraternities were also witnessed including big names like Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Madan Lal, Gundappa Viswanath, and Gopal Sharma.

To provide the best quality education, 16 Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya, which is basically built for the children of labourers, construction workers and those orphaned due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was also inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The project has been developed at the cost of Rs 1,100 crore with an aim to make quality education accessible for these children and support their holistic development.
Every school under this scheme has been constructed in an area of 10-15 acres with a classroom, recreational area, sports grounds, mess, a mini auditorium, hotel complex, and residential flats for the staff members. Such facilities will help children get quality education.
Addressing the event in Varanasi, PM Modi said that the portal of ‘Kashi Sansad Khel Pratiyogita’ was also launched. This is the beginning of new legacies in Kashi, he added.
PM Modi further added by saying even today, people from across the world come to Kashi to learn Sanskrit. Keeping that in mind, we inaugurated ‘Atal Awasiya Vidyalayas’ today, built at a cost of about Rs 1,100 crore, the Prime Minister said.
He also interacted with the people who helped in making the G20 Summit successful. PM Modi was listening to the concerns of people who served to achieve the successful completion of the G20 Summit.

ABVP wins 3 seats in Delhi University elections, NSUI bags Vice President post

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three out of four seats in Delhi University elections.
The University of Delhi on Saturday announced the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election results. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three out of four central panel posts in the elections while the National Students Union (NSUI) bagged the Vice-President Post.
Tushar Dedha from the ABVP has secured the President post whereas the Vice President post has been won by Abhi Dahiya of NSUI. Aparajita, an ABVP candidate won the Secretary post in the DUSU elections. Sachin Baisla from ABVP has won the panel post of Joint Secretary.
ABVP supporters celebrated the win as their organisation won three central panel posts in Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections.
The DUSU election was held on September 22. There were 24 candidates in the race for the four central panel posts.
The elections were conducted through EVMs at 52 colleges and departments for the four posts. The paper ballot was used for the college union elections. The total turnout of voters was 42 percent.
The vote sharing in the Delhi University Student Union elections was quite surprising. The ABVP candidate for the President post Tushar Dedha got 23,460 votes while Hitesh Gulia, an opponent candidate from NSUI received a total of 20,345 votes for the President post.
For the post of Vice President, NSUI’s candidate Abhi Dahiya surpassed ABVP’s Sushant Dhankhar with 22,331 votes meanwhile ABVP candidate got 20,502 votes for the post.
Arpita from ABVP got a total of 24,534 votes while NSUI’s candidate Yakshna Sharma received 11,597 votes for the post of Secretary in the DUSU elections.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad candidate won the seat with a total of 24,955 votes meanwhile candidate from the National Students Union Shubham Kumar got 14,960 votes in the elections.
After a big win of the ABVP candidates on three seats of the central panel, the Minister of State for Railways and Textiles Darshana Jadosh extended her congratulations to the right-wing allies for their victory in the DUSU elections.
The Bharatiya Janata Party President, JP Nadda extended his congratulations to the ABVP for their victory in the DUSU elections.
